Theo O. Toothman, 81 of Belpre, Ohio died at her residence following a courageous seventeen year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Washington County, Ohio on January 28, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Warren and Mattie Wright Phillips. She was a member of the Belpre Church of Christ. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service. She loved to travel and with her family got to see much of the United States. She was a member of the Sojourners, a christian camping group.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, John Joseph Toothman, three daughters, Debra Wright of Belpre, Jo Ellen (Dan) Canada of Belpre, Susie (Ted) Matthews of Atlanta, GA, seven grandchildren, Aaron Marshall, Shawn Marshall, Ryan Canada, Rachel Canada, Miracle Quelle, Melanie Stuprich, Mallory Grady, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson; Ethan Marshall and seven brothers and sisters.
Services will be on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Ron Laughery officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
