Helen L. (Wingrove) Medcalf, 84 of Parkersburg, passed away July 26, 2010 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 6, 1925 in Waverly, WV a daughter of the late Margaret N. and Charles E. Wingrove. She graduated from Williamstown High School in 1943. She was a homemaker who enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and crafts. She was a longtime member of Beechwood Presbyterian Church in Parkersburg.
Helen is survived by her husband, of 64 years, Harold William Medcalf, her three children Harold William Medcalf Jr., Nancy Kaefer, and Margaret Scholl, seven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother Charles E. Wingrove Jr. and his wife Inez, and a brother Arthur Eugene Wingrove.
Services will be 1 pm Thursday at the Beechwood Presbyterian Church, 703 30th Street, with the Rev. Ken Calebaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and one hour prior to the service at the Church.
