Brent Wesley Bailey, 26 of Belpre went to be with God on July 25, 2010. He was born in Parkersburg on June 23, 1984 and was the son of the late Stephen L. Bailey and Andrea Rector Hastings of Coolville, Ohio. He attended Vienna Baptist Church and after graduating from high school he went to work at the Hampton Inn and the Microtel in Marietta. He was a good friend to all he met, and loved his family.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Andrea and Rick Hastings of Coolville, his brother, Frederick (Jessica) Bailey of Vienna, Materal grandparents, Carl and Aileen Rector of Belpre, Paternal grandmother, Isabelle Bailey (Jake Kromiller) Parkersburg, nephew, Stephen Bailey of Vienna, stepmother, Tammy Bailey, Vienna, WV, stepbrother, Clifford (Sarah) Hastings of Fort Worth, TX, two nephews, Jonathan and Chase Hastings and niece Katie Hastings, aunt, Carla (Bruce) Flack of Brentwood, WV, uncle, Brent (Betsy) Rector, Homerville, Ohio, aunt Maida (Bob) Chaney, Dayton, Ohio, aunt Janet Bailey, Parkersburg, WV, uncle Bill (Lori) Fankhauser, Belpre, uncle Gary Bumgardner of Boaz, WV, stepsister, Natalie Weckbacher, cousins, John (Becca), Erin, Megan Bumgardner, Beau, Robin, Shari, Wren Rector, Laurel, Andy, Mark, Maria Chaney, Jim Wojcik, Mary Jo (Tom) Keller and several step aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen L. Bailey, grandfather, Frederick F. Bailey, aunt Nina Rice, aunt Lana Fankhauser, uncle Frederick E. Bailey, stepsister, Melissa Weckbacher, and aunt Linda Nicholson.
Services will be at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre on Thursday at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jim Yoak officiating. Burial will be in the Rockland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and up to service time on Thursday.
