Florence Evelyn Hider, 96 of Marietta, formerly of Parkersburg died at the Marietta Center. She was born in Calabogie, Ontario Canada on June 17, 1914 and was the daughter of the late William Day and Norah Johnston Wilson. She had been a member of the First Christain Church in Parkersburg.
Survivors include her son Robert W. Hider, daughter Carolyn D. Hunter of Marietta, daughter-in-law Marcia A. Hider of Columbus, Ohio, grandchildren, Steven Hider, Erin Nowilaty, Jill (David) Peters all of Columbus, Tara (Michael) Hupp of Marietta, Scott (Annie) Hunter of St. Charles, IL, Brent (Angela) Hunter of Scottsdale, AZ, eleven great grandchildren, a niece Dawn Hardy of Michigan, and her caregiver of over 12 years Robin Barth.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bert Franklin Hider Jr. in 1999, her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be private, burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society.
